The principles of empowering women in the enterprise, presented by UN Women and the Global Compact, apply throughout the world.
The Women's Empowerment Principles (WEP) were launched in March 2010 by UN Women and the UN Global Compact Office. They intend to promote the equality of women in economy and in companies by practical and easily implemented means. BPW International collaborated in the in the developing of the WEP. Members of BPW International have contributed to the preparation of the WEPs. It is now essential to spread them in the companies.
